Gluten Free Bakery Items Will Make You Sick

CAN YOU SPOT THE GLUTEN FREE FAIL?

Introducing

 Mountain Oven

Crested Butte, Colorado

If you're not sure, I'll happily share. There are gluten free baked goods and pastry items in the middle of a gluten full case of baked goods. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!  Thanks Mountain Oven of Crested Butte, Colorado for being an epic gluten free failure putting innocent people's health at risk and NOT following the FDA guidelines of gluten free labeling.  The crumbs, airborne gluten is everywhere. These gluten items are very flaky and nothing is wrapped. I don't care if you're a diagnosed Celiac, gluten free or not, this is idiotic. It's completely unacceptable to mark a gluten free food and then put it in a gluten sandwich like this, having products above and below that would cause someone to become ill.

GLUTEN FREE DISCLAIMER FAIL

It's a bit hard to read here, on purpose, but these "gluten-free monkey muffins" were made with love in a kitchen that processes wheat, dairy, peanuts and tree nuts." HAHAHA I can't help but laugh that there was so much "love"in the kitchen that they were purposefully poisoning someone with a gluten free lifestyle. Is that kinda what they're saying here? I think so. It's pretty obvious because they're a food establishment, with chefs, bakers, etc, who frankly don't give a crap about people's actual health, just to cater to gluten free lifestyles for profit. Oh, So much love is in the air, and so much intestinal pains, damage and villous atrophy, explosive diarrhea and body aches and head fogs, to say the least. Thanks for offering a genuinely lovely auto immune reaction and/or sensitivity reaction to some others whoa re not Celiac but find gluten to be damaging to their health. No I did not eat this food, as I never put anything in my mouth until I inspect, research and analyze and clearly this one was a no brainer. Thanks Mountain Oven of Crested Butte, Colorado for being a Gluten Free Fail.

Apparently, "Gluten Free" still has no universal definition deep into the Rocky Mountains of Crested Butte. As I travel throughout the country I continue to be disappointed at places that I both expect and least expect this issue to occur. What makes a bakery item gluten free, a processed cheese ball, napkin, knife, wood cutting board surface or apple?  Self labeling is still a joke it seems to many in the food industry.

How about offering actual gluten free food without a disclaimer?

Or stop serving it at all.

Owners of these products and establishments clearly do not care about reality, health concerns and this is just scratching the surface. You should re-consider eating out seriously, because, these same places can be feeding you some other unhealthy, dangerous substances since they don't care about actual gluten free labeling and the allergies. The disclaimer is their way of serving health risks to cover their own a$$.

Can Anyone Trust The Food Industry?

This extends way beyond just gluten free, but we'll keep it here. This self-labeling gluten free policy is not working from the FDA. Even though many of these brands, cafes, bakeries and restaurants likely know what they're doing wrong nobody stops them! They offer food to people who don't have a gluten free lifestyle health concern just to offer it for people who decide to eat less gluten. Yet, the joke is on them. A disclaimer typically gets thrown at the bottom of the marketing and promotional areas, where most people don't see it or are forced to except it. Or each restaurant says, "we do our best to separate, but can't guarantee anything". That's our life, ground hogs day.
