Despite what you believe in, support or agree with according to American history, when you have allergies or an issue with food associated with this holiday, life is more complicated than just celebratory! Since food is a key variable this time of year, gluten-free eating becomes once again nearly impossible, if you let it. That's why preparing ahead, learning to say no and minimizing expectations by taking no risks is what being "independent" is all about.

See how miserable I am living with Celiac Disease, wow life is terrible! Haha, well for those of us whom have Celiac Disease, must live gluten-free and my lifestyle is 100% serious to avoid gluten risks. Yet some take many risks and suffer while others do not in this free world. Are you capable of saying, "No, thank you" and avoiding temptations and indulgences? Has living gluten-free been a challenge you haven't overcome yet in your life or damaged it further, and why? What emotions are your subconscious hiding?
Change is challenging! However, there is nothing more important than your own health. We each make choices daily, why not choose your gluten free health? Shouldn't you have control of what you put in your body, to say yes/no for your gluten-free health and take it more serious or be even more careful and serious about the gluten-free issues that you see everyday at restaurants, homes and packaged food? When you take a risk and it causes a health concern that is immediately noticeable or a silent killer you're not being independent, you're being foolish.
Why risk your one chance of living entirely free and choosing to be independent from other peer pressures and everyday food challenges that can torment us? How do you choose to act on each meal to prep for better health without risk of gluten cross contamination?
Depending on where you are from and where you live, some people in the world have less or more hardship, tackle different wars and struggles, but one aspect we can all attempt to overcome is our own dependence on food that has a negative impact on our true health and longevity, such as gluten. If you know you have a form of gluten sensitivity, wheat allergy or form of auto-immune response to gluten, stop, regain your personal independence during this time of year.
