Wonderfully Raw - Product Review

Sequoia Cheney is going to be your new inspiration...

She is the founder of Wonderfully Raw, and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, as she was forced to create lifestyle changes and chose to invent delicious food that was safe and tasty for herself and others.

This story was the birth of My Coco-roons, to provide tasty treats for a targeted audience, but appeals to many more people because of it's great taste and naturally packed health ingredients. Often people stigmatize treats that are made as uniquely as these, but these would even fool the ignorant. Wonderfully Raw focusses on the best possible ways around providing raw ingredients where state laws may have some restrictions, Certified Gluten Free and Vegan, with verifications to back up their claims.

Bella Gluten-Free Product Review

About Bella's Gluten-Free Dry Flour Mixes

Chef Mary Capone (aka Chef Bella) and I met in Boulder, Colorado at a Naturally Boulder meet up for an exciting food co-packer, Kitchen Coop. There were a variety of baked goods, pastries and the rumor was they were all gluten-free, but I inquired further (as always) to ensure they were Celiac friendly (and not some fake gluten-free product that isn't safe for those with Celiac Disease.

Here Comes Lovely Candy Co Gluten-Free Product Review

Ahhh, finally a gluten-free alternative to artificially flavored Starburst that is comparably delicious! If you're like me than you just can't have one gluten free candy, so when I need my sweets I eat these Lovely Candies because I can trust them to be gluten-free and non-GMO with mouthwatering flavor burst!

Lovely Candy Co
These are individually wrapped squares, shaped similar to a Starburst but tastier, more variety, sticks less to your teeth and sourced from the best ingredients on the planet. Shwiiing! They source brown rice syrup instead of corn and add legitimate real fruit ingredients (blackberries, blueberries cherries, apples, cranberry, etc) without artificial and numbered food ingredients, lol.

Chebe Gluten-Free Breads Gluten-Free Product Review

Chebe Garlic Onion Bread Organic Farmer Cheese & Moldavian Honey
I love gluten-free Chebe products because their base manioc flour recipes start off terrific and are very easy to add your own creative ingredients. Chebe has nearly a dozen products and in less than 30 minutes (with prep) you're ready to dive into a great snack before a sports game, appetizer for a dinner party or on the side of a grande meal.  Here are a few, but not all of the most common recipes I enjoy:

Albert Bartlett Rooster Potatoes Product Review & Contest Inside

Gluten-Free Product ReviewAlbert Bartlett Roosters are from Monte Vista, Colorado farms and are of the highest quality and care as Colorado farm culture and this British company have excessive pride as only few other elite brands do. They're purchased in a bag, super duper fresh with a date so you know when/where they were chosen. They indeed have a nice pinkish-brown color unique to potatos since they're typically just a "brown". When cooked you'll notice they have a nice buttery character... you're going to say what I screamed, "Dang, those are nice, these are exceptional potatoes!"

The Republic Of Tea Gluten-Free Product Review

I love tea and I now love Republic of Tea. It's true. During the morning through afternoon you'll likely find me sipping at least 2-3 cups of tea almost every day, if I'm not sipping my kombucha. It doesn't have to always be boiling hot although seasonally in the cold northeast I would be. I also enjoy iced green tea, chai with almond milk or fruity herb teas without sugar and not watered down. I just enjoy the taste and know that when I drink tea I'm consuming one of nature's most prized possessions. Recently, we sampled a few teas that I wanted to share with you from Republic of Tea.

I've been excited for this Gluten-Free product review.

Best Cracker Is Crunchmasters Gluten-Free Product Review

CrunchMasters are indeed a fantastic crunchy cracker that you may not have experienced until today. I sampled a variety of their certified gluten-free multi-grain crackersmulti-seed crackers and kids crisps, but they also have a 7 ancient grain crackers, rice crackers and large club packs as well. They are made in the USA for gluten-free consumers especially the true Celiac who is seeking a better tasting, quality and variety during their snacking needs.

For me, a snacking beast, the Crunchmaster crackers come in handy during social events at home or should be brought to other home parties. They're specifically served best during exciting basketball, soccer and football home parties when the snacky cravings for hummus, cheese, sour cream and guacamole are always in one hand and a cocktail is in the other.

Product: Cruchmaster is the crunchies cracker on the GF market! How they precisely did this I don't quite know, but to be a certified gluten free product with this monster crunch is rare and awesome. Other gluten-free crackers snap or crunch in some form, but lack the natural flavors and mouth feel that these do, hence the name Crunchmasters.

Nuwi - Quinoa Smoothie For Everyone Gluten-Free Product Review

There has been a sharp rise of gluten free ingredient, quinoa, into the alternative lifestyle over the past 10 + years. I like this movement. What hasn't been done yet with quinoa until recently though, according to my research, is a delicious gluten free morning rich  smoothie/snack drink to start your your day.

Taste Your Bread With Rudis Gluten-Free Product Review

Rudis gluten-free bread review by @GlutenFreeG

For awhile gluten-free breads were cheap, fluffy, holed, and not tasty. Then came Rudi's who has done it better.  The good news is that Rudis gluten-free breads come in three improved tasty recipes and constantly innovating in a very competitive gluten-free bread category. There is so much innovation happening I'm hooked so far on this cinnamon raisin and excited for a nutrient dense multi-grain bread that can toast well.

Think Thin Bars... Delicious & Natural Gluten-Free Product Review

As an avid hiker, runner and foodie I constantly am looking for high protein, nutritious, great tasting energy bars to help me conquer my workout goals and adventures. Think Thin has improved their core offering and I'm excited to see the whole ingredients popping from the bar.

It's not easy to find, but I demand food that taste great and does a lot for my body needs while being 100% gluten-free; which means zero gluten ingredients and zero contamination in the manufacturing factory, of course, which Think Thin promises.  Watch their awesome gluten-free video here...

Kay's Naturals Offer Protein Punch Snacks Gluten-Free Product Review

Kay's Natural offers a wide variety of high protein snacks

Kay's Naturals is one of those great companies that think/execute gluten-free out side of the box.  Kays offer a wide variety of pretzel, chips, crackers cereal snacks but with much higher protein, fiber etc for those who are Diabetic and those with Celiac Disease... They are certified gluten-free, too! This means they are good enough for a hike, bike, post run or whenever you are being active and want a solid nutritious snack.

Kay’s Naturals products were developed by Dr. Massoud Kazemzadeh (known as “Dr. Kay”) for his first wife Linda, a juvenile diabetic. It was also nice to read that Kay's Naturals recently received a 2011 Trailblazer Award for innovative, wellness-promoting snack foods, so you know there up to something great here!

I truly enjoyed all of them and since they come in bite size bags your portion control is .... controlled. You can buy them per case and they usually have a bunch of bags included, so you're not buying one large bag at a time typically. My favorites were Cinnamon toast pretzels, Apple Cinnamon Cereal and Cookie bites (all with lots and lots of protein).

Kettle Cuisine Quick Soups Fill You Up! Gluten-Free Product Review

Here it is.... just finished up my Kettle Cuisine product tasting and I am quite pleased!  They have been making soup since 1986 (when the NY Mets won the World Series and NY Giants won the Superbowl) so that was a great year to be in any kind of business, haha! They have their eyes and ears open to the ground with allergies in mind, protecting us Celiacs who need TLC. Look for their Gluten-Free, Vegetarian, Dairy Free and Low Fat symbols.

I've tried nearly all of their product line at this point and I was thrilled with the Chicken Soup with rice noodles, Southwestern Chicken and Corn Chowder, Tomato soup with garden vegetables as my elite top 3.... And I can humbly say they were all tasty.

They microwave very simply in just a few minutes and there is no major splatter mess either. So you can have a quick, healthy, filling small meal at home, on the go, or when you're in a rush.  Recommended to all Gluten-Free customers who enjoy soup as much as I do and demand lots of flavor.   Check out their blog, too when you have time! Also they tweet often as well and engage with customers.

They are available in just about every state in the country which is convenient. I just couldn't find easily how much it cost in most places, but I would imagine it's reasonable. Enjoy friends !!!

Recommend Kettle Cuisine to Celiac: 5 out of 5

Popcorners, You Had Me @ Hello Jalapeno! Gluten-Free Product Review

Pop Corners are a hit! Just when you thought the chip category and/or pop corn category couldn't innovate.  Utilizing non-GMO verified corn with a corn/chip and addicting flavor profile that will make your eyes roll :) Too good in fact to keep around if you lack will power like I do sometimes. haha.
